Russia has held the BRICS+ CTF cybersecurity tournament: 105 countries, 5 continents, 1257 teams.
Russia held the online cybersecurity tournament BRICS+ CTF. It was hosted in two stages: the first, qualifying stage, was held on October 5-6, and the final was held on November 16.
Organisers of the Tornamnent are ITMO University, Association of Chief Information Security Officers (ACISO - ARSIB), All-Russian Public Movement of Mentors of Children and Youth "Mentors of Russia" (Nastavniki Rossii).
1,257 teams from 105 countries, five continents, participated in the qualifying stage. Twenty teams from eight countries competed in the final. The first place was taken by the international team Friendly Maltese Citizens, the second place by NE_SPRUSH (Russia), and the third place by Bushwhackers (Russia). Fourth and fifth places were also taken by Russian IT specialists.
It is noteworthy that 608 teams from the BRICS founding countries participated in the tournament: 389 Russian, 102 Indian, 98 Chinese, 11 South African, and 8 Brazilian. The top 10 participants included five Russian and two Chinese teams. The tasks for the participants were prepared in thirteen programming languages. In the final, which was held in the Attack-Defence format, the participants had to detect vulnerabilities on their server and try to close them without disrupting the functionality of the services and at the same time carry out attacks on the servers of other teams - "capture the flag".
Since cybersecurity was named by the leaders of the BRICS countries as one of the main challenges of our time, the program of the BRICS+ CTF tournament, which is being held in the year of Russia's chairmanship in BRICS, is aimed at developing human resources to ensure the information security of the Russian Federation, the BRICS countries and BRICS+.
The general partner of the competition is the Aquarius group of companies, and the general information agency is TASS. The project is supported by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), entering the top 100 "Strong Ideas for the New Time" of the ASI, and Rossotrudnichestvo. The T.Hunter company headed the prize fund of the cyber competition, the companies "Positive Technologies" and "Astra" became partners of the competition.

Rules
We are trying our best to provide interesting and fair competition. Please, don't ruin game for others. The following behaviors will lead to disqualification:
Any destructive behavior
Don't attack the contest system itself. Don't delete flags. Don't break services (if you find a bug, please report it to organizers). Don't generate excessive load.
Any behavior that compromises the fairness of contest
Don't fake the location of your team. Don't register multiple accounts. Don't share flags or ask for flags. Don't publish challenge files, solutions or flags.

Can we register a team of different universities?
Yes. We invite teams consisted of any members: academic, professional, etc

Can we join the competition not from the beginning?
It's okay to join and start playing any time between start and end

Is this competition friendly for beginners team?
Yes. We have tasks with different complexity. Any team will find interesting tasks.

Can we play in finals if our team is not from BRICS country?
Yes, you can if you will be in the top teams not from BRICS country

Can we get PDF certificates of participation for our team?
Yes. After the end of the competition organizers will send certificates for any team
